Thankfully our kitty is a very sweet and patient kitty, actually perfect for very curious puppies! She typically climbs on the kennel rail to watch the puppies. Then when she wants to come say 'hi' she hops down for a visit. It's usually a short visit, but she is always patient!

Vet day ended up being a great day! Prior to heading to the vet I placed microchips and documented all the info. Then to town for their first round puppy shots.

Today we performed aptitude testing for all the puppies! Doing the tests is a big job and takes about 3 hours. Every second is worth it! They jiggled and wiggled and didn't even get bothered. It was a pretty hot morning so they were probably just really excited they were headed back to the air-conditioned puppy building!

It's so cute watching how excited these puppies get when their milk-soaked dog food gets put in front of them! They almost sound like a group of seagulls!

We have beautiful blue eyes starting to peek through! It has been a pleasure watching these pups grow up. I'm so proud of my children for all the help they have given during these last couple weeks. They do the work willingly and timely. They help with the stimulations, weight checks, cuddling, feeding, watering, and worst of all...cleaning...all without complaint!

Today, after we finished working on puppy stimulations and weight check, we trimmed the puppies' nails. If Mesa could, she would have thanked us!

Yesterday was the puppies first trip to the vet. We had their tails and dew claws removed. The vet also health checked the puppies and Mesa and said everyone is doing very well!
Some of the puppies are already getting bigger bellies!
They are growing so fast that their stripes are already starting to disappear. Soon we will have peeping blue eyes!

We started our Early Neurological Stimulations and Early Scent Stimulations today! We strongly believe in the science of these stimulations. We will be busy for the next 13 days working with every puppy to complete their stimulations. I promise the 'proof is in the pudding' on this one. We are happy to put in the work because the reward is so evidently great! We produce amazing pups!

Today was the day we weighed the puppies and put on their collars. Its a rainbow of colors now when the puppies are in the box! During these early days we sit with the puppies multiple times daily to be sure each puppy gets their fair share of milk!

We sold all the puppies from the 2024 Mesa/Baxter Litter! We have very much enjoyed this litter and because it was so awesome will plan to do a repeat litter in the spring of 2024! Keep an eye out on our social media and this website for updates! Overall, this litter of puppies was a dream! We worked hard with them from a young age to provide scientifically proven methods that help socialize the puppies well in order to better their transition to their new homes. I am excited to say, it worked. This litter of puppies were quick learnings, affectionate, smart, strong nosed, and gentle. We look forward to hearing from our new puppy owners to see how great the pups grow into well rounded adult dogs. We have two puppies still at our kennel to play with! I'm not sure who enjoys exploring the trails in the woods more, the puppies or us? Either way, we both end up having a great day and burning a lot of energy. The best part about burning a lot of energy is the awesome nap to comes after. Puppies can sure play hard, but sleep harder!
Let us know if you are interested in one of these two gems. Orange collar boy likes to explore but also loves being around his people. Blue collar boy is happy to go with the flow and check out anything in his path. Neither one of these puppies get too worked up about much, just make sure you are near and they are happy. Both of these puppies, like the rest of the litter, love the water. Playing at the pond is always a hit! Call or text anytime and I can share more about these boys. We sold a puppy to a sweet family in Timnath, Colorado and were able to meet them about half way in Liberal, KS. Liberal just so happens to hold a special place in my heart. Upon graduating high school in Saskatchewan, I accepted a scholarship to play softball at Seward County Community College. It was a quick trip, but we were able to spend the night with my Aunt and Uncle while we were there. The puppy buyer was able to meet us then head home from there. Depending on our schedules, we do our best to save our buyers some miles on their puppy pick-up dates. Most of the time the meet ups turn into a short family trip, or a dinner date for my husband and I. It is not a hard task to tote these sweet puppies around. This litter is very calm and easy going. As long as they have their people and a soft spot to cuddle, they are happy to go for a ride!

Oklahomans consider the last days of August to be the "Dog Days of Summer." These days are claimed to be the hottest, sultriest days with relentless sunshine and unbearable humidity. I explain it to my Canadian family as breathing air from a hot blow dryer the moment you walk outside. Hot is an understatement. On this day, my daughter and her little brother must have agreed to find a way to beat the heat. Unbeknownst to me, their puppy check quickly turned into a puppy adventure. I'm not sure who thought of it first, but they both ended up jumping in the puppy pools with the puppies. They puppies seemed to be good with the decision! Having a new puppy in the summer months means lots of outdoor fun....with water! These puppies truly love a good splash in their kiddie pool.

After a morning on the porch in the pool, we took a few updated puppy pictures. We have 6 male puppies available for new homes. (Update: Yellow Collar puppy went to his new home in Kansas on 8-19-24.) All these puppies are similar in temperament. They have had many baths and are getting used to sitting still and not complaining during their nail trimmings. We have some that are a great fit for farm/hunting life with room to roam and explore their noses. Others that will make great work dogs with a job but also able to be calm and cuddly when asked. They will all adapt well to their new homes. They will love the couch or a comfy dog house where they can protect the yard. All of our puppies enjoy splashing around in the puppy pool. Today we let the puppies play all morning on and around the porch. They took turns chewing on toys, wrestling, wading in the pool, climbing the stairs, playing with the friendly kitty, listening to the sound of the windmill, and climbing up and down the stairs. It is fun to see the puppies enjoy each other and learn more about the world around them. It is even more fun to sit with them and let them climb up on our laps and cuddle. They are all so sweet and gentle.

Today the teal collar puppy went to his new home in Arkansas! Thankfully we were able to meet the new puppy owners part way down the road to save on their travel time. The car ride to the new owners is always bitter sweet for my family and I. We have loved these puppies from day one and really have gotten to know and become attached to each one. It is very important to us that the puppies go to good homes. The moment we hand over the puppy to their new owner and the tears of joy show up in the owner's eyes is when we know we made a perfect match. We have started introducing the puppies to crate training. So far they have had great success. We provide them with chew toys to keep them occupied, then sit close to them outside the kennel to keep them calm. Within minutes these puppies were fast asleep and very comfy!

After a trip to the pond, we gave the puppies another bath then placed their microchips. We chose the AKC Reunite chips that can be scanned with any universal scanner. Their chip number will also be linked with their AKC registration numbers as well as the new owners contact information for easy puppy identification.

All the puppies loved playing by the pond. They all ended up with muddy paws and wet bellies. Baxter (their daddy) went with us and showed them how to retrieve out of the water. The puppies seemed to love following him and tried their best to mimic his explorative ways.

We performed the Volhard's Aptitude Testing today. My son was the tester and did a wonderful job. My daughter delivered the puppies to the testing area while I documented and watched from inside. We made a great team and accomplished a great morning of testing.

Wow, the puppies love to play! They are almost 6 weeks old now and super busy. They love to tackle each other while exploring around the yard. They are getting a lot more vocal now too. Barking and growling are common sounds while they roll around in puppy piles. Oh, how fun they are!

The Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introductions we performed from days 3 to16 are well beyond complete. We continue to work daily on various stimulation activities but still their favorite activity after a day of exploration is cuddling! They are so pretty and sweet!

July 4, 2024. We took some cute puppy pics for the 4th celebration. We hope you and your family enjoyed the holiday weekend! The weather in Oklahoma has cooled off from the past week of being 100+. Mesa and the puppies have obviously enjoyed the change in weather!

July 1, 2024. After bath-time, we took a few pictures to commemorate Canada Day. I, Michelle, was born and raised in Canada and am now a naturalized U.S. Citizen. My family and I are sure to celebrate the day in Oklahoma! This puppy was a perfect poser in front of our Canadian flag.

July 1, 2024. We introduced the puppies to bath time today. They all seemed to enjoy to dip in the fresh water. They especially loved the cuddles to dry off afterward. We also clipped their nails, something we do quite frequently to help keep their momma happy while she feeds them.

We have begun Early Neurological Stimulations and Early Scent Introduction activities.
We started day 3 and will perform these until day 16.
The puppies are performing well and most have a strong nose! In fact, as a group they prefer the smell of pond water!
All the puppies enjoy being handled, and of course cuddles are their favorite!
