Puppies Coming Sept. 2026! The last litter from our foundation dam, Mesa!

Playtime often includes rest breaks!
We let the puppies try new toys of all kinds; balls, squeaky, squishy, hard, cloth. Everything is fun to play with at this age; shoelaces, sticks, leaves, and gun wrappers. Like toddlers, puppies will let you know if you dropped something new and fun!

Mesa is our foundation dam at Trusted Oak. It is so fun to watch her play with the puppies and they happen to be her grand-puppies!
Mesa has been an amazing mom and proves she still has a tender spot for puppies. I'm excited for Mesa to have her last litter late this summer!

Socialization includes introductions to textures and sounds. We play various sounds as well as take puppies for walks to different places, including gravel! At this age, most of the puppies are go-getters and aren't afraid of the new experiences we show them. Go puppies go!

May 3, 2026
The puppies aren't swimming yet, but they are enjoying the adventures to new places. Today we made it to the pond. They still aren't too fond of wandering far from their welping box so we carried them down to the pond. Once there the fun, playtime began.

Blue boy had some special time with his momma, Ivy. And boy did things get interesting. Ivy wanted to relax but blue boy was hungry! Whatever it takes little guy.
Some of the best moments are the least expected ones. How adorable!

The puppies are a pack everywhere they go, especially at nap time. Puppy piles are some of the most adorable moments to watch. In the early days the warmth, safety, and social bonding are the key elements to puppy piles. Seeing a puppy pile proves they love each other and have found their safe place!

April 27 , 2026
Around 3 weeks old the puppies start having an interest in solid food. We make "puppy mash" with puppy food and goats milk. We are sure to soak the puppy food for a long time to ensure it mushes and becomes easy for the puppies to swallow. As they get older they develop the ability to have solid dog food making mommas milk a treat.

April 25 , 2026
It is a lot of work, but we get individual pictures of the puppies around 4 to 5 weeks old. Their little personalities start to shine through. Some would rather snuggle, others explore. A few of the puppies pose perfect and make our job easy!. Either way, they are all so adorable and perfect!

April 23 , 2026
We start giving the puppies baths and nail trims around 3 to 4 weeks old pretty consistently. Nail trimming starts around day 3, but bath time comes later. We want the puppies to be introduced to the idea that bath time is necessary and safe. Also, we and puppy Momma appreciate short nails to avoid scratches.

April 20, 2026!
The puppies are scooting around the welping box. They are even starting to climb on the protective barrier. Sometimes they belly scoot, but most of the time they are moving around on all 4's.
I'm so excited for the day they start climbing out of the box. The new adventures are about to begin!

Firsts are my favorite!
I am very aware that firsts are important to experience in the early stages of life for the puppies. Safe and simple firsts are the most important firsts. We kept the puppies displacesd from their cozy welping box for a short time. We kept everyone together too, since they much prefer puppy piles than exploration at this age!

April 16, 2026
Their adorable blue eyes are starting to shine!
3 weeks old already and stealing my heart!
As the puppies grow the melanin (pigment) begins to develop and cause their eyes to change over the next several weeks. Some puppies keep lighter eyes, others will be amber, hazel, green, or brown depending on genetics.

April 12, 2026
Early Scent and Neurological Stimulations are done! The early days are some of my favorites. We work hard to bond and socialize with the puppies to start desensitization and letting them know we are their safe place!
We know the early days are very important to a well rounded puppy! Thankfully the early days are the most fun cuddle moments.

Who doesn't love a basketful of puppies!
Adorable much, yes!
Sleep anywhere, yes!
I'm so excited for their little blue eyes to start shining through!

April 2, 2026
Day one is my favorite!
And those newborn stripes, oh my!
These stripes are also called "tiger stripes" "neonatal stripes" or "reverse branding" that fade within a few days. The stripes are faint and caused by the way their coat pigment develops before birth. As the puppies grow, the stripes disappear and their beautiful solid silver coat remains!

April 2, 2026
8 days old! Another way we keep momma happy is keeping the puppies' claws trimmed. Their claws become razors during feedings if they aren't trimmed. All the puppies have been gaining weight and getting stronger. They are eating like champions and are starting to move about their whelping box pretty efficiently.

April 1, 2026
We always supplement our momma dogs with "satin balls" to keep up with their nutrition during long hours of feeding. Ivy has been an amazing momma but weight and energy seem to drop too quick if we don't supplement with nutritious satin balls. We are thankful to report that Ivy is a wonderful momma just like her momma was!

March 30, 2026
Their newborn stripes are fading but they are still adorable! The newborn stage always seems to go by too fast!
Today was vet day #1 to dock their tails and dew claws. Ivy joined us and keep me company. The evening settled with a beautiful sunset and cake to celebrate my birthday! A fun day indeed!

March 29, 2026
Early Neurological and Scent Stimulations began yesterday, day 3! Until day 16 we work hands-on with each puppy to develop stronger stress tolerance and adaptability, improve brain development, and build confidence, trust, and trainability.
Let the fun begin!

March 26, 2026
Ivy was a trooper during the delivery of her first litter of puppies. She liked me being with her, so my son and I bunked in and were with her through the long haul. It was in the early morning hours she delivered her last girl and ended the night with 6 healthy, striped weims! So excited for more cuddles!

March 13, 2026
They Are Coming!
Puppies will be here in a couple weeks! The vet confirmed Ivy and her puppies looks healthy and ready to meet us soon! This is an exciting time for us all! Ivy is starting to show signs of pregnancy but continues to be her happy, obedient self. Yay for puppies!

Trusted Oak Ivy is a highly trained and dedicated working dog specializing in wounded game blood tracking. With a sharp nose, steady focus, and natural drive, she approaches every track with determination and precision. Her work ethic in the field reflects both her intelligence and her deep instinct for the job.
Exceptionally smart and eager to please, Ivy has wonderful recall and responds quickly to commands. She is quick to obey, attentive to her handler, and able to settle down calmly when needed. Indoors, she is relaxed, composed, and well-mannered. Step outside, and she’s instantly ready—focused on work or enthusiastic for play.
Ivy upholds the highest breed standards in both structure and appearance. She has successfully passed hip evaluations and comprehensive genetic testing, reflecting her soundness, health, and strong breeding foundation.
Ivy embodies the perfect balance of discipline and heart: calm and steady at home, driven and dependable in the field description.

Baxter is a Trusted Oak Kennels Weimaraner from Mr Ruger American by Little Blue.
Baxter is a very classy, well balanced boy with a great personality and confidence. We love his conformation and temperament. His block head and proportionate stature makes for a very attractive male. He was raised in a companion home but has transitioned well to his new country lifestyle. He continues to have a tender, velcro-type personality. When Baxter isn't enjoying quality time with his people, he loves to explore with his nose to the ground. Baxter is eager to please, great with kids, and loves to play. His favorite past times are playing fetch and retrieving out of the pond. He likes to tug, but will refrain while retrieving when asked. Baxter is a protector with a big bark but a bigger heart. He wants people to know his job is to protect his people but will quickly become their friend once he is prompted to do so. This will be Baxter’s first litter and we are very excited about the offspring he will produce
